  Time: 10:00am – 12:00pm Free This free interactive course will offer you the opportunity explore all aspects of setting up and running conversation clubs for ESOL learners. You may not be a volunteer yourself but if you are involved in running or delivering conversation clubs, this course may be of interest to you. The training is open to all but priority will be given to those who live or work in the South East of England.

  The naked teacher – working without pre-planned materials

  Time: 4.30pm-6.00pm (BST) Cost: £20 This interactive webinar explores resourceless teaching in a TELLs context. Aside from taking up so much planning time, pre-prepared materials and resources can often have the effect of closing down or narrowing learners’ participation and agency in how and what they learn. How can a more ‘naked’ approach address some of these challenges? The webinar will also look at the influential ‘Dogme’ approach – borrowed from cinema, and applied to language teaching.
